Marlena Bannick

I am a population health researcher with a methodological focus. I develop mathematical and statistical tools to answer epidemiological questions.

Currently I work at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation as a Researcher on the Mathematical Sciences and Computational Algorithms team. Prior to my role as a Researcher I was a Post-Bachelor Fellow at IHME for three years.

I obtained a BS in Public Health with a math minor in 2016, and a MS in Biostatistics in 2019, both from UW. I am now an on-leave PhD student in Biostatistics at UW, and will resume my studies in Fall 2020. While in undergrad, I participated in a UW direct exchange study abroad program, and completed College Honors.
